Dearest Milton and family,
Feel very sad that joyce has left us and gone. But I am sure she has gone to a better place in heaven, very close to Lord Jesus and the angels. We will always remember Joyce as the loving, caring, lively and bubbly Joyce.
We will miss her always. Very sorry I am not able to be present in person there with you at this time of sorrow and grief, but you and the family are there always in my thoughts. Please accept our deepest condolences and sympathies.

Dearest Gracy,

Was saddened to hear about your dear sister, Joyce. Please accept our sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and your family. May her soul rest in peace and pray that the Lord provides strength and comfort to each of you to bear this irreparable loss.

We too are trying hard to cope with our grief having lost my sister Bern (Goregaon) and her husband Placid. They both died in the tragic bus accident that took place on March 19, 2013 while enroute to Mumbai from Goa. It is extremely hard to cope with this grief.

I pray to the Lord to give Joyce's husband Milton and daughter Francine all the courage and strength to move on and what more can i say..... thinking so much about Mummy too. I pray for each of you. God bless!

Dear Joyceeeeee.............

I cant forget my childhood days which we spend togather playing , goto school, fighting as we still you to me after our wedding too . the last hug , and the cry of happiness we both did
when we Last met at holy family church I still hear the sound
of your voice. when i saw u today in the newspaper I wish you

Dear Milton and Joyce's family,
I am one of Joyce's classmate, when I was praying for her soul yesterday with the presence of Holy Sacrament in a divine Mercy chapel this thought came to my mind ,let us do some thing so her name will be remembered for ever. The thought came to my mind is to start a charity fund or scholarship to a financially struggling Jaslok student.I am in touch with many of our classmates and I can ask them about their opinion.Let us do some thing before her name fades away as everyone says she is still vibrant with that sweet smile in our mind. There is no other way to contact you all, what you all think, will you please let me know.
God Bless You all!

Joyce no one can ever forget that beautiful smile that welcomed everyone everyday. You brightened the ICU whenever you worked. No matter how hectic your day was or how tired you were, you never let that show through your smile and always offered your help. You worked each shift for your patients and their families. You've touched not only their hearts with your prayers, your patience, and your kindness but also made an impact on the hearts of all your colleagues and your friends including me. Our memories of you will live forever in our hearts. My heart mourns for your loss but shares some comfort that you are no longer suffering. Although no words can express my feelings of sympathy or completely ease your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

April 17, 2013

I have known Joyce for almost 20 years now. Hers was the first smiling face I saw when I first called on Gracy (now my wife). She served as a bridesmaid at our wedding. In all her years, I have never seen anything but a smile on her face, even in these difficult last several days.

She inspired me with her life. I will never forget the time we were stuck at her cousin's flat in Borivli (northern Mumbai) during the communal riots outside. Despite the risks of travel in public at that time, she left the house to go read scripture for Father Philip D'Souza, a blind Jesuit Priest. I continue to draw inspiration from that single act. She taught me what it means to persevere and follow your convictions in the face of adversity.

She and her husband Milton even postponed their nuptials so that her Gracy and I might attend! That is dedication; that is love.

Joyce was a bright light in our lives, one taken much too young, much too early. However, I think her life stands as an inspiration of what it means to live-out the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The cruel irony is that she was an ICU Nurse who cared for very ill patients just as she became herself. We take comfort in knowing that your suffering is at an end and that you are in a better place now.

I am sure that you are now at the roadside in heaven somewhere enjoying channas and chocolates with your Dad!
