Joyce Wood Riles November 1, 1934- January 31, 2007 COLUMBUS, GA— Joyce Wood Riles, 72 of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home in Columbus with Rev. H.L. Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening (Friday) from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Riles was born November 1, 1934 in Holmes County, Florida and was the daughter of the late Paisley M. and Louise Bolin Wood. She was a longtime member of The Church of Columbus, and was a homemaker and loving mother. She is survived by her husband, Ross Riles of Columbus, one son, Mark Riles and wife Donna of Columbus; seven (7) grandchildren; ten (10) great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson; two (2) sisters, Nell Jones of Phenix City and Loudean Becchetti of Santa Rosa, California; one brother, Royce Wood of Columbus and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus Ga 31909.
