Juanita Gaines Obituary
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Gaines; and her brother, Ellie B. Shaw.
Mrs. Gaines is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Souders; son, Ricky Gaines (Melissa); and daughter Beth Dunn (Bob); 11 Grandchildren; and 18 Great-Grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel at Leak Memory on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with a Visitation an hour prior. She will then be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers to include: grandsons, Brian Floyd, Jason Floyd, Rich Gaines, Matt Bonnett, Mitch Bonnett, and Max Bonnett.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607 or at https://www.samaritanspurse.org/our-ministry/donate-online.

Juanita Gaines was my spiritual teacher starting early in my life. Best friends with my parents whom she will enjoy reuniting with them in heaven. Juanita was like an aunt to me. She was there the day I was adopted and by my side when my mom passed away. She was a true friend to my father and helped him with friendship and care after mom passed away. I truly loved and admired her. She was a true living disciple of Christ our Lord. I know she is happy and in no pain as she is received in the glory of the heavenly host. Much love dearest teacher and friend.

Mrs. Gaines was a sweet compassionate person. I worked with Mrs. Gaines at Montgomery Gayfers - where she made me as a newcomer feel welcomed.

Mrs. Gaines was such a great inspiration and role model. She was my buyer for many years with Gayfer's, and I even became a buyer with her help. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
