Juanita Faith "Nita" Green

Juanita Faith Green (née Bradley), affectionately known as Nita, passed away on August 23, 2024, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 92. Born on January 21, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, she was a vibrant soul known for her entrepreneurial spirit and artistic creativity.

Nita graduated from a high school in Detroit and soon after was given the opportunity to audition for the Radio City Rockettes-a dream that was unfulfilled due to family concerns. She channeled her energy into volunteering and serving on the boards of various non-profits in Montcalm county, Michigan, where she became a beloved community figure.

Her adventurous spirit led her to Montana after marrying Walter Green. There, she operated a unique combination of businesses including a retail shop, gas station, and RV and tepee accommodations near the Little Big Horn Battlefield. Nita also pursued her passions for writing poetry and painting watercolors, activities she enjoyed throughout her life.

Nita had a soft spot for animals, never turning away stray cats and dogs. Her latest companion was a little Maltese dog named Sam, who provided her with joy and companionship in her final years.

She is survived by her son, Keith Sawyer LaSalle, and daughter-in-law, Judith Foy; nieces Lisa Pilotte (Bob), Susan Foster (Don), and nephews Dale Bradley (Gloria), Scott Bradley (Carol); among other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Nita was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Green, her mother, Elizabeth "Elsie" Jacoby, father, Lincoln Bradley, and brothers Maurice Bradley, Stirling Bradley, and Jonas Bradley.

Nita's life was a testament to her love for her community, her creative spirit, and her unwavering kindness. It was her kindness, and sense of fun, that will be remembered at Plymouth Inn assisted living, where she stayed for her final month. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
