Juanita Tyner Obituary
Mrs. Juanita “Pumpkin” Dixon Tyner, age 70, entered into rest on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Edwards Chapel Baptist Church by Pastor John “Bootsie” Griggs, and Reverend Jim Smith with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tyner was born December 20, 1952 in Cheraw, SC a daughter of the late Dave and Rosalee Braddock Dixon. She was a homemaker and a member of Hartsville Calvary Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Tyner enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She could often be found cleaning and adding to her angel collection.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tyner was also preceded in death by her siblings, Polly McKenzie, Bobby Dixon, Hart “Buck” Dixon, Dave Dixon, Jr., and Ralph “Bo” Dixon; and her grandchild, Melody Bryan.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Robert “Bobby” Tyner of the home; children, Tony (Cindy) Tyner of Chesterfield, SC, Becky (Ken Orum) Bryan of Santee, SC, and Elvis Dean (Linda) Tyner of Hartsville, SC; son-in-law, John Bryan; grandchildren, Savannah “Coot Bug” Tyner, Tony “Buck Shot” Tyner, Jr., Miranda “Pebbles” Miles, Seth “Bam-Bam” (Haley) Bryan, and Memphis Tyner; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Jasper, Parker, and Beckam; brother, Hollis “Shug” Dixon of Patrick, SC; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved pet, “Charlie.”
The family would like to offer a very special Thank You to caregivers and family friends, Kathy Freeman and Jennifer Huggins for their dedicated love and care provided to Mrs. Tyner and family.
