Judith Ann Kennedy Obituary
Judy was born in Boston in 1942 to the late James and Mildred Leonard. She graduated from Mount Saint Joseph Academy and Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing. In 1979, she earned a BS in microbiology from Framingham State College.
Her nursing career started in labor and delivery, and expanded to infection control and risk management at several area hospitals. After retiring from healthcare, Judy followed her love of gardening to Russell's Garden Center in Wayland, where she enjoyed helping customers and tending plants.
Judy leaves behind her best friend and beloved husband of 60 years, Martin Kennedy; daughters Karen McCloskey (David), Linda Shea, and Susan Landry (Bob Goulet); grandchildren Mary, Riley, Brooke, and Sean; her dog Charlie; her sister Nancy Lally (Richard), brother Vincent Leonard (Mary), sisters-in-law Janet Houghton and Mary Kennedy; and many adored nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to Judy's heart.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 29 from 4-7pm at Duckett Funeral Home, 656 Boston Post Rd, Sudbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 30 at 10am at St. Bridget's Church, 830 Worcester Rd, Framingham, followed by burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Sudbury.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember coming to your house in High School to pick you up, Linda. Your mom and dad were always so kind and welcoming! I know your mom will be missed. Praying for you and your family.
