Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 29, 2023.
Judi Evelyn Beck, also known as Judi Beck, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 74. She was born on July 26, 1949, in Creemore, Ontario, Canada, to the late James Albert Cauthers and Audrey Lavinia Cauthers (nee Heather). Judi dedicated her life to nursing, serving as a caring and dedicated servant to anyone in need.

With 52 years of experience, Judi worked at multiple hospitals in her birth country of Canada before moving to the United States, where she spent the last 25 years of her career. As a registered nurse, Judi completed both Canadian and American boards of nursing. For 32 years, she specialized in high-risk labor and delivery, showcasing her expertise and compassion in assisting mothers and babies during challenging times. In the 20-year balance of Judi's career, she served in Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, Medicine, Urology and other areas of nursing in Canada and the United States.

Judi's military association was with the Navy, where she served with honor and dedication as an RN in the commissioned rank of Lieutenant. Her commitment to service extended beyond her military career and into the medical field, where she continued to practice until her passing.

Judi leaves behind a loving family, including her husband, Allen Glen Beck, PhD, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her son, Jeremy Allen James Beck, and daughter-in-law, Ceiba Beck (nee Winters), of Phoenix, Arizona; her daughter, Marci Leigh-Anne Beck, M.S. of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her brother, Richard Cauthers, who resides in Canada; her granddaughter, Natalie Jean Beck, of Phoenix, Arizona.

The impact of Judi's life is immeasurable, and she will be remembered for her selflessness, compassion, and dedication to her family and nursing career. She touched the lives of countless individuals throughout her 52-year career, leaving a legacy of care and kindness.

Judi's place of worship was the World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where she found solace and community. For those who wish to honor her memory, contributions can be made to the World Outreach Church or the American Heart Association.

Details regarding Judi's service will be determined and communicated at a later date.
