Age 84
Judith "Judy" Ann Gary Clark passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at the age of 84, in Corpus Christi, TX. She leaves behind a loving family: her devoted husband, David E. Clark, Jr.; her daughter, Donna Ann Lawson and husband Timothy H. Painschab of Corpus Christi, TX; her son, Steven Dean Lawson and wife Lauren of Chattanooga, TN; and her step-daughter, Jackie Clark Spencer of Cedar Park, TX.
She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren-Timothy G. Painschab, Justin C. Spencer and wife Jenay, Chelsea Lawson Moore and husband Ben, and Madison Spencer Robertson and her husband Jesse-were her pride and joy. Her great-granddaughters-Bella Spencer, Leila Robertson, Matilda Moore, Magnolia Moore, and Willa Robertson-added sparkle to her days. Judy was never happier than when her whole family was gathered under one roof, filling the house with laughter, love, and just a little bit of chaos.
Judy was known for her infectious laughter and vibrant personality. She had a gift for bringing joy to others, whether through her humor, her colorful sense of style, or her creative spirit. A passionate tennis player, she played regularly with her husband and best girlfriends and traveled with them to compete in matches across the U.S. Her love of crafting was evident in everything she touched-from painting household items to decorating hats with rhinestones and even polishing walls with shoe polish.
Judy was a member of Tarrytown United Methodist Church, where she served as the unofficial joke teller in her close-knit Swift Sunday School class. She was a gifted cook and cake decorator, known for delighting family and friends with her culinary creations. Everything Judy did was infused with love, creativity, and joy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Settlement Home for Children in Austin, TX where she and David volunteered countless hours.
