Judith Edna (Wilkerson) Howard, 81, of Hartville, Missouri, passed away on April 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 19, 1943, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Judy obtained a teacher's certificate from Dakota Wesleyan University in South Dakota and an associates degree from Draughton Business College in Missouri. She had a diverse career path that included being a homemaker, foster parent, teacher, florist, nurse's aide, and professional seamstress.

She is survived by her husband, Lindell Howard; son, Jon (Jo) Howard; daughters, Lisa (David) Wiseman, Evonne (Mike) Damon, Jan (Clay) Howard, and Lucia (Keith) Dinwiddie; eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Judy is also survived by her brother, William Wilkerson Jr., two nephews, and her beloved dog Bitsy. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Edna Wilkerson and infant son Eiven Lee Howard.

Judy dearly loved children and was loved by them in return. In her free time she enjoyed feeding and identifying birds, knitting and crocheting, gardening, and sewing. She worshiped most recently at Mt. Zion Church of God (Holiness), and was previously a member of Mansfield Church of the Nazarene for over twelve years where she taught Sunday School and was treasurer for several years.

A celebration of life is planned for August 17th, 2024, to honor Judy's memory and legacy.

I first met sister Judy at the Mount Zion Church. What I remember most about her was her sweet sweet smile and her love for children

So many memories of Sis. Howard. Bible class, home ec class, choir tours, hot tea, to name a few things. She taught me to knit, too. A couple of weeks before she went, she came to Daddy's funeral. Now she has complete healing and is enjoying Heaven. Our love and prayers are with Bro. Howard and the family during this time. Heaven is getting sweeter all the time.
