Judy I will always remember you for your smile, fun and outgoing personality, and very quick wit. We spent many years in the 80's as close friends in Tucson, then even after I moved away. My fond memories of being your roommate in Tucson, a couple of stays at your brother Bob's in Manhattan, and our last visit when you came to visit me in Florida in the 90's. I have thought of you often, dear friend, Today I googled our friend Shannon McGrath only to find she had passed in 2008, and so I googled you to find of your very recent passing. I know the two of you are together and this is why I googled you two, as I googled you both over the years without success. To Judy's family I know she loved you all and today I cry for our loss. May she rest in peace.

As I sit and stare at this blank page, my mind and body shaking..
My heart beating, aching and trying to keep my breath from racing.
I wonder where my dear friend is....
There are no calls, there are no texts.
I know because I've checked...
So many more talks won't be..
More movies we won't see...
I'll remember always, Our love for New York the theaters there.. Wearing our scarves in the fresh crisp air.....
Want to go for pizza? Or how 'bout Applebee,'s?
Some wine or appetizers or a bite of sushi,?
It's time for Happy hour my friend,
Hurry and let's meet...
Always know wherever I go, I'll always save you the outside seat..
Is it too late to say I'm sorry, sorry I won't see you again...
Is it too late to say, to let you I know..
I miss you good woman, my warm hearted friend..
And I'll try to smile thru the tears as they flow
And know you've found peace..
comfort, no worries no pain..
hats off to you till we meet again......
I won't forget you Judy....... How could I, it's been a pleasure to share with you the very same name..
your friend judy friedlander..

Judy was one of my good friends in Tucson tbe past 25 years. We enjoyed going out to eat, hitting movies, traveling (San Diego, Las Vegas, Mexico, Florida (where I met her sister), New York (where I met her brother Bob)), attending charity events. She enjoyed reading, watching talk shows, socializing. She was outgoing, so bright, so witty. As Shanon wrote, she loved animals, literature, and the theatre, and was a beloved part of a group of girlfriends that spent many fun times together over the years. I went on my first cruise with her and she gave me a great introduction to New York City many years ago. She was quite special and I hope she is at peace and surrounded by love. My sympathy to her family and many friends. We miss her.

How lucky I am to have shared part of this earthly journey with Judy. One very fond memory was a day we spent in her upstairs bedroom on Trask Ave. with Scottie, Suzie and Snowflake. Judy was having such fun teaching her little niece and nephew to say the phrase "The whole world is going to pot"(this was in the 60's and we thought were so cool) then sending them downstairs to repeat the phrase to Mrs.Kent. In a split second Mrs. Kent came flying up the stairs into Judy's room and put an end to our sophomoric behavior. So vivid in my mind, so long ago but seems like so recent. The memories are many and all involve a lot of laughter and fun. The last time I saw Judy I was living in Scottsdale and she drove up to spend a few days. Then we lost touch when I moved to Calif. Was just starting a search for her for 50th reunion. Devastated I did not search sooner... My deepest sympathy to siblings and Scott and Susan.

Rest in joy and comfort Judy...I so wish my call had been made 24 hours sooner so we had another moment together. I know you are wrapped in love and hugging and kissing on all of your four legged companions in heaven - I imagine my own Kelsey and Nicky ran to greet you. I love you....and miss you...

Many of us are mourning the loss of Judy - she was part of a large group of women who enjoyed life fully with group events and trips for a good portion of life through our late thirties and forties, together. I will miss her talking about her passion for the theatre, her laugh, the way she flipped her hair in joy as we shared a bottle of red wine. I am so very sorry and send her siblings my sympathy and love. For so many years she was a light in our group, celebrated for her liveliness and love of life and people. Blessings to all who share in missing her.
