Sam, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family . I had the pleasure to work with your Mom for several years when she owned The White Rabbit. She was always smiling, just a real princess !! I graduated from Briarcliff High School (as did several other Rome residents) . I did not realize she began her teaching career at Briarcliff. I pray that her memory will be with you everyday.

Mrs. Lucas was my typing teacher when I was a sophomore in high school. She never gave anything less than her best, and always expected (and usually got) the best from each of us as students. The skills that I learned in her classroom have proven to be integral to my ability to succeed, both professionally and in my personal life. I am saddened at the passing of this great lady.

Even though I have been away from Rome for 30 years and not had the chance to be with Judye very often, I still consider her my best friend. She was such a good supporter and encourager whenever I needed one. She was the same kind of friend to everyone, and she will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to all her dear family and friends.

Judye and I were Celanese Village Kids. We went all the way through grammar school and high school together and were in the high school marching band. Our families were friends and attended the same church. Growing up, I admired Judye so much because she could play the piano. I would beg her to play "Wonderful Words of Life" for me and, of course, she would this. Judye was a very smart person and had many talents. Our HS Class reunions will never be the same.

Sending my deepest heartfelt sympathies to the family during this time of your loss. It's been a long time since I've seen Judy but I have many memories, I'm part of the Tubize/Celanese Family, closeness that people don't have today. Prayers go out to you.

To Sam and Julie, I am so sorry about Judye's death. I did get a chance to talk with her several weeks ago and am so glad that I did. During the Emory baseball days, she was a wonderful friend and did so much for all the team. I truly enjoyed spending time with her. She was a wonderful person, and treated you boys so well! I will miss her. Glad you and Allen have stayed in touch. Love, Ann and Craig Rigell

My deepest sympathy to Mrs . Lucas' family. She was my typing teacher at Coosa and our paths crossed after that at the White Rabbitt. She was always a very classy lady who will be missed greatly.

Judye was a classmate at Jacksonville State, a co-worker at Coosa High, and a friend always; she was diligent, industrious, successful in her many walks of life, and always had a caring attitude. She was loved and will be missed by all. What a legacy she leaves!

I was a high school friend of Judye and have many fond memories of our time together! We were both majorettes and band members and shared the same wonderful group of girlfriends! My sympathies to the family. She will be missed!

Judye was a wonder as she smiled and joked at our RHS 55th Reunion this September! Just looking at her made us question just how serious her situation was...and yet we all knew...we needed to treasure every moment with her. She will be missed, but remembered as a truly strong woman who enjoyed life to the last!

Mrs Lucas not only taught me in high school, she taught my parents. She was a wonderful teacher and mentor. She always would remember our trips to Atlanta with FBLA whenever I would see her. It was a funny side so few students were able to see! Prayers for your family.

Sympathy to the family. Judye was a fun filled, energetic person and was known as Speedy in school. She will be terribly missed especially by her best friend, Nancy Ivester. We were all majorettes together at RHS '58. God Bless.

Deepest sympathy to Judye's family. Attended high school and was a majorette with her at Rome High School. She was funny and always full of energy. Sad loss for our class of '58.
