When I see her old house ( everyday) I think of all the great times we had and all the thoughts we shared as young moms. Missing her.

When I think of Judy I remember her beautiful smile and concern for others. She taught my daughters six years. She was a significant person and homeschool teacher to my children. Judy not only helped her students but served as a wonderful example as a Christian. We will miss you but we know we will see you in heaven!

Over a span of years, Mrs. Scheldt taught all 3 of my children high school literature and grammar and writing, and as she taught, she poured herself into the nuances and importance of the the history and culture surrounding each story, and more importantly, poured herself into the lives of my children and every other individual who she taught. She truly left handprints on their hearts. To this day, she is remembered and mentioned with affection in our family and in other of her student families which we know. She was a beautiful person, whose presence here will be missed, but I know that she is now worshiping our God in heaven.

Mrs. Scheldt was my high school English teacher and the kindest woman. The passion she had for teaching and the written word inspired so many of her students, myself included. She was instrumental in so many choices I made in my academic career-a profound voice of encouragement, the voice exhorting me to be better, and an empathetic presence as I navigated adolescent uncertainty. I still have folders of weekly "journal" entries with her annotations in red pen-questions, additional thoughts, constructive criticism-and will cherish those memories all the more. I hear her characteristic laugh and thoughtful insights every time I find myself revisiting Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre, and Great Expectations, and always will. Go in peace, Mrs. Scheldt. You are dearly remembered.

Judy was one of the kindest and loving people I have known. She cared for her friends and was always there for them. Her heart was so full of love. Whatever she believed, she believed in strongly. She loved animals and always had dogs and cats. She loved literature, Peanuts, Elvis, Gone with the Wind, and Disney the most. I know she is still with us, watching her children and grandchildren, guiding them each day. We love you, Judy.
