Judi and I have been friends since high school. She was a true friend! About twelve years ago, Daryl called and invited us to come down to Texas and we enjoyed time with them for the next 12 years! Judi was always out walking, we got to enjoy both of them all winter! She will truly be missed by all of Alamo Rose RV Park!! Heaven gained another Angel!

I am so glad that I spent the day with you just a week before your passing. I remember the days back when we were all first married; when we got together to play cards and drink beer and watch little Debbie toddle around. Darrell was one of Doug's best friends and was in our wedding; you and I quickly became forever friends. When you moved from Omaha, we always kept track of each other and reunited as friends again just before your transplant.

You have been an inspiration to so many of us as you battled to extend your life. I have cherished our time together these past 15 years.

Darrell, Debbie and Dawn, take care of yourselves. When I lost Doug 6 1/2 years ago, everything in life changed; nothing has ever been the same. I know well the difficult days lie ahead of you and will keep you in my prayers.

My sincerest condolences to Darrell and the family.

I met Judi and Darrell in the Winnebago and NASCAR special interest group. Judi made all that she did for us look and feel like a labor of love. We all respected what they did and loved how we became a family that continued to meet at races for years after Winnebago dropped the program.

I was at that race in Bristol. Judi told me that she needed to walk so I figured, sure, a nice easy paced short walk in the spring. After 50 or so yards, I had to ask what medicine changed because she had quite a brisk pace. Thats when she told me that she had a new heart and that it happened only a couple of months ago. I was floored. Floored!!!! I think I cried not just because of her wonderful gift, she had to cut me a break and slow down!!!!

Judi's gift was always greatly appreciated. She was so grateful for that precious gift of time - time with her family and her family of friends. We had so many more walks, chats, laughs, yummy simple happy hour dishes, and oh, more Ole and Lena jokes.

Judi was the inspiration and the reason that I elected organ donation the very next license renal following that Bristol race.

Thank you for being a great friend. Thank you for welcoming us and showing us around to Forest City during the GNR. Thank you for all those golf cart rides filled with girl time chats at GNR. Thank you for hosting get togethers even when you weren't feeling well. Thanks for graciously inviting us and hosting us at your home when we came through Iowa.

I love you girl! I will always love you!!

Bill and I are so sadden by Judy's death. You will never be able to call her a quitter on life. She had the will to live and the courage to continue all the treatments given her. She was not a whiner. She put one foot in front of the other every day. Courageous lady. Darrell, Debbie and Dawn please know we will keep you in our prayers for peace and comfort! She will be missed!
