In Loving Memory of Judy Ann Aaron

July 1, 1945 - April 27, 2025

Judy Ann Aaron, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith. She was born on July 1, 1945, in Chatham, Virginia, to the late Margaret E. Fitzgerald and Herbert M. Fitzgerald.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved siblings Mitchell Fitzgerald, Yvonne Arndt, and James Fitzgerald, whose memories she cherished throughout her life.

She is survived by her three treasured daughters: Dawne Bailey (Bryan), Shelly Blevins (Harvey), Lori (Doc), and a loving sister Alice "Duckie" Leavell. Her strength and kindness live on in each of them.

Judy found immense joy and pride in her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Kristin Matlock (Lee), David Hines, Frankie, Lauren, Megan (Brandon), Neil Ferguson (Michelle), Jessica Gorman, and Harvey Blevins Jr.

Her love continues through her many great-grandchildren: Ayva, Jovie, Bailey, Jillian, Lucy, Karma, Kemper, Raven, Chloey, and Brandynn-each of whom brought light and laughter into her life.

A faithful Christian and true believer in God's word, Judy lived her life guided by her faith, always offering encouragement to those around her. Her quiet strength, generous heart, and steady devotion to her beliefs were a source of inspiration.

Before retiring to Foley, AL with family, Judy enjoyed her work as an Employment Service Specialist with the Department of Aging and Rehab Services in Fishersville, VA. She devoted her time to support both the counselors and clients, always being known for her smile and laughter.

Even in passing, Judy's giving spirit endures. In a final act of selflessness Judy will be going to medical school, as she donated her body to medical education and research, ensuring that others might benefit from the knowledge gained-one last gift from a life spent helping others.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her. Judy's legacy is one of unconditional love, deep faith, and generous compassion.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no formal service. A private celebration of Judy's life will be held by the family at a later date. In honor of her memory, acts of kindness or donations to a charity of your choice are encouraged.
