Judy Dworkin nee Weininger, 90

Beloved wife of the late Arnold. Loving mother of Sheryl Dworkin, Bette Dworkin and Maury (Kathleen) Dworkin. Proud grandmother Zoey Dworkin and Kylie Dworkin and great grandmother of Zayden. Cherished daughter of the late Oscar and the late Esther Weininger. Dear sister of the late Martin (Shauneen) Weininger.

Judy Dworkin was the proud matriarch of Kaufman's Deli. Known as Mama Judy, she could be found at her café table, overseeing everyone coming and going - customers and staff often stopping to chat and share stories. She was also the Mayor of the Beach in Michigan City, Indiana. The beach was her favorite and most happy place, representing her history, her family and her childhood traditions.

She fiercely loved and defended her whole family - the most important thing in her world. Her children, grandchildren, cousins, aunts and uncles were the jewels in her crown. Her strength, energy, wisdom and love were an inspiration to all of us. Her loss leaves a void in our worlds that can't be filled. She will be missed.

Service Sunday 10 AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. A Private interment at Westlawn was held earlier in the day.
