It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judith Ann (Bibby) Mee on April 5, 2025, in
Tequesta, FL, surrounded by loving family. Judy was 82 years old. She was the loving mother to three daughters and beloved Marmee of five grandchildren who filled her with pride and joy: Karolyn Deemer and her sons Patrick and Ryan; Patricia Mee (Matthew Morawa) and their children Avery, William, and John; and Kellie Mee (Prabhas Viswanathan). She was a supportive wife and best friend to her husband of 59 years, Michael Mee, who predeceased her in September 2024.
Judy was born on March 16, 1943 in Somerville, MA, to Arthur and Julia (Carey) Bibby. She grew up in Arlington, MA, with her parents and two sisters (Lillian and Patricia). The family enjoyed summers on the beach in Scituate, MA, which was the start of Judy's lifelong love of the water and fresh seafood.
In 1962 Judy met the love of her life, Michael, who immediately became her best friend and life partner. They were married on July 31, 1965, in Arlington, MA and enjoyed a life filled with love and adventure by each other's side. Judy was supportive of the many moves the family made for Michael's career before settling in Concord, MA in 1985. It was in Concord that Judy and Michael deeply rooted themselves in community and made lifelong friends through both their Newcomers group who had a motto of "bloom where you are planted", as well as the many friends they made through golfing at Nashawtuc Country Club. Their last move was to Jupiter/
Tequesta, FL and Osterville, MA upon Michael's retirement, which gave them the big water views they appreciated together.
Judy was a proud Bostonian and spoke fondly of the memories she and Michael made in their early days of dating there - dates that often took them to Pizzeria Regina, Harvard Square, and Red Sox games. She was particularly drawn to those with a connection to the Boston area and was always quick to strike up a conversation about their shared experiences.
Judy had a passion for cooking, a skill she mastered while getting her culinary degree in Belgium – a career stop for Michael that also began their joint love and appreciation for European travel and wine. She loved to host and cook large meals for family and friends; her recipes will remain staples at family gatherings.
Judy was a voracious reader and enjoyed both the tranquility of cozying up with a new book, but also the ability to socialize and discuss at her Book Club. She inherited her love of Bridge from her parents who were both avid and competitive players – she had a true passion for the game which was amplified when Michael began playing alongside her. She was a fixture at Bridge gatherings at Jupiter Hills Club, Hyannisport Club, as well as the many tournaments that she and Michael traveled to play in.
Judy made a lasting impression on all those she met with her quick wit, sense of humor, and sparkly sense of style. She loved celebrations and anything that allowed her to dress up or decorate for the occasion. She was forever the life of the party and will be fondly remembered by her family and many good friends.
In honor of Judy's illness, please consider donations to the following organizations that she supported:
St. Jude,
