Judith E. “Judy” Tyler, 77, of Oelwein, Iowa and formerly of Randalia, Iowa, died Wednesday morning, September 21, 2022, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa.
Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein with Pastor Julie Ahrens officiating.
Visitation: 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, September 25, 2022, and from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
Inurnment: At a later date in Long Grove Cemetery, Maynard, Iowa.

Judith Elaine Salmon was born July 14, 1945, in Boone, Iowa, the daughter of George William and Lois Jane (Loder) Salmon. She was baptized on March 13, 1958, at the Wesley Methodist Church in Calamus, Iowa. Judy graduated from Fayette High School in Fayette, Iowa. On December 31, 1966, she was united in marriage to Dennis Lee Conner. This union was blessed with three children, Robert, Georgia and Connie. They later divorced. On April 20, 1981, she was united in marriage to Leslie Laverne Tyler at the United Methodist Church in Randalia. Over the years, Judy was employed as a secretary for the Fayette Vet Clinic, Patterson’s and Boscobel High School. She was also employed at Dura. For many years she volunteered at MercyOne Oelwein Medical Center, the voting polls and was an advocate for organ donation, signing up over 4,000 people. Judy enjoyed crafts, shopping, baking, planning a party and most of all spending time with Les and their grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her husband: Les Tyler of Oelwein; 3 children: Robert (Laura) Conner of Oelwein, Georgia Conner of Sumner and Connie Conner of Sumner; 14 grandchildren: many great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; 2 stepchildren: Marvin (Martha) Tyler of Maynard and Marva “Babe” (Walter) Wood of Sumner; stepson-law: Dean Teague of Randalia; brother: Dennis (Shirley) Salmon of New Hartford; brother-in-law: Richard (Geri) Miner of Dewitt; special niece: Deeanna (Craig) Donovan of Dewitt; special friend: Shirley (John) Darsidan of Davenport; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepdaughter: Melinda “Linda” Teague; sister: Rhonda Miner; and a brother: George “Sonny” Salmon.

I had just got to know Judy and enjoyed her company. I met her as she was busy helping a person mov e into an apartment and was a very active lady and so pleasan t . My sympthy to Les and the rest of Judys' family.

Judy was a fun-loving lady. We enjoyed many bus trips to Chicago to see the Cubs! She & Les even won some “pools!”
