Words cannot begin to describe how sad I was to hear of Mrs. JD´s passing. She was like no other with a smile that would light up the room. I truly loved all our conversations and moments together and will forever remember the laughs. I have been forever grateful to her & everything she did to help our family through a very difficult time after my medical diagnosis. An angel in disguise! Clarissa could not have been more blessed to have her as her 4th grade teacher & our family to have her as a friend, a beautiful part of our lives. You will be forever missed but never ever forgotten. Our deepest condolences to her family & friends

Our deepest sympathy to the Derrig family. As around the corner neighbors for the past 5 years, we would often see Juli walking Mabel in the neighborhood. I would stop and chat when she was on the porch and I was walking my dogs by the house. A beautiful woman and soul taken too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you...

I too worked with Juli at Sylvan Learning Center many years ago. She was the type of person who would light up a room just by entering it. She was hard working and had a positive energy that was contagious. I consider myself blessed for having known her.
With deepest sympathy

My deepest sympathy to all of Juli's family. I went to Westfield State with her back in the late 80's. You could not meet a more sincere, genuine, nor kinder girl than Juli. We lost touch after our time together but I thought of her often. From all that I have read, she lived her life just as I thought she would. She is now reunited with her sister whom she loved dearly. There are two angels up above who love you all. My sincere condolences to all of you.

Tim: I was so very sorry to hear of Juli´s passing. I did not know her well but based on the information I just read, she was an incredible and lovely woman. My sympathies go out to you and your family .

Heading into the morning Mass, I often saw Juli welcome the little people arriving at school with their little backpacks as they got off the bus, each one by name. Each one. If they needed a special hug to start their day, she knew. After that the next bus came alone to unload their precious little pupils. Same thing. Each one welcomed by name, with hugs as needed. I've been in school all my life, and have never seen a principle like this before. I send a hug, Juli. A lot of hugs.

One of the blessings I received in my life was the good fortune to meet and befriend Juli. It was an honor to have her consider me a friend.
Remarkable aptly fits in describing her. She was a true dichotomy. On the one hand, staunchly loyal as an active participant in her faith, while at the same time, fully respecting the faith of the students and parents of St. Mary's in her position as the administrator of St. Mary's Elementary School.
To paraphrase an idea from author L. Frank Baum, "A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others."
To take slight issue with Mr. Baum, Julie possessed a huge heart that truly loved the St. Mary's community, especially her school children, however, it was increased ten-fold as witnessed by those who loved her.
Rest well in God's arms my friend!

I was Juli´s neighbor in Montgomery for over 15 years, and she was a ray of sunshine every time she visited for a chat or cup of sugar. To say her passing was a shock is an understatement. I just happened to be a patient in the ER two days before her passing when her daughter greeted me as a nurse and asked "do you remember me? " it saddens me to think that her twinkling eyes behind that mask are now full of tears. But Juli´s spirit lives inside those who´s lives she touched and will be missed. My condolences to Tim, Taylor and Chelsi. The good may die young but their memory lives on longer in our hearts.

Tim, Chelsi & Taylor...Juli (mom) was such a lovely woman, we should all be so lucky to be remembered as she is by so many. Our hearts are heavy for you all, but it squeaks out a smile thinking about her & the joyous life she had & loved so much.

We will miss Juli so much. She always made Sunday mornings so special for us, with her infectious laugh, irreverent humor, and boisterous love for us all! My only comfort is that today Juli walks in light, strong and smiling, vital and vibrant -- and soon we will be with her again.

We are so saddened to hear about the sudden loss of your bright, animated, compassionate Juli. We knew her (and all of you) through her amazing relationship with Jackie, Gene, and Charlie. We saw you all at Keen family celebrations, and have always been so amazed, impressed, and touched with how much of a support she has been, and how very involved she has been, in their lives in particular. No words can express the sadness. Many thoughts, hugs, and prayers are headed to all of you.

We were so very saddened to hear the news of Juli´s passing. She was the true definition of a great neighbor and friend. We are so blessed that for five years we were able to experience her kindness, giving nature, spontaneity, humor and beautiful soul. We will miss our summertime Friday night front porch glass of wine, flower exchanges and mostly our over the fence conversations. May God give you peace through this difficult period and find comfort that she will be with her sister Jackie. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Juli and I met way back when we were both working at Sylvan Learning Center...... then our children were born about the same ages- (Taylor and Eric sure could give us a run for our money .) You sold our first house about 25 years ago and it´s been Christmas cards every year since then.
My heart breaks with this news. Juli was a friend I will never forget.

Tim and family, my heartfelt condolences to all of you on the loss of a precious soul and a beautiful wife and mother. The news of her passing is devastating for me having had the privilege of having Juli as a student in my second grade classroom at the West Granville School. She was very bright and quite precocious with a lot of spunk which I admired in one so young. She was a force to be reckoned with on so many levels. Juli was very intuitive and compassionate as a child. She was supportive of others who were picked on and very protective of her little sister Jackie. There is comfort in knowing that they are now reunited, both so young and full of life! Heaven has a beautiful pair of angels watching over you. You´ll be in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn the loss of Juli.

Tim, Chelsea, and Taylor , John and I are so sorry for this sudden loss. Juli will be missed by so many people. She was such a lifegiving person. Juli always was thinking of what she could do for others. She brought such laughter and joy with her bright smile and sense of humor. Our prayers and thought are with all of you.
