Mrs. Julia Young Buff

Mrs. Julia Ann Young Buff, 75, of Hickory passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 following a period of declining health. Julia was born March 19, 1943 in Catawba County to the late Colon and Liza Young. She was a loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Julia worked at Burke Hosiery Mill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Buff; siblings, Ralph Young, Mary Ball, Coy Young, Bill Young, J.C. Young, Alfred Young, Viola Young, Susie Vanhorn, infant sister, Pauline Young; and Paul Young; and son-in-law Rick Bowman. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Hope Bowman of Vale and Angela Parlier and husband Marty of Morganton; grandson, Nicholas Parlier; sister-in-law, Ruby "Sis" Lynn of Connelly Springs; sister, Katherine "Kat" Brittain; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with the Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Interment will follow at Brookford Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, January 7, 2019 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Heritage Funeral Service.
