Julia Anthea Nelson

Julia was one of the first people that I met when I studied in Canada and helped make my year at McGill a treasured time in my life. She was such a joy to be around and was one of the reasons I loved McGill so much. Any Julia story that started with, "My friend James and I" was sure to be a good one.

Julia seemed to know everybody and introduced me to so many people, several of whom I still know. And Julia was so smart! I particularly loved hearing her thoughts on religion. Attending the Matisyahu concert with her and several others remains one of my favorite Montreal memories. It was a treat to catch up with her when we both worked at NYPL. I am sorry that this world has lost such a bright spirit, and we are all worse off for her loss. My thoughts go out Julia's loved ones.

I will miss Julia. I was always happy when she and I shared a shift at Coquitlam Public Library. Her memorial service was wonderful, her family so brave and strong. She touched so many people, and who can ask for more in life? Farewell, Julia. Deborah

I am very sorry to hear of Julia's passing. She was such a gentle soul always wearing a radiant smile. In reading her obituary it can be seen that many loved her and that she lived a whole life while here on earth. My thoughts are with those close to her.

My deepest condolences to Julia's family. It saddens me to hear of her quick passing recently. She was a bright and amazing person. Will always remember her as being cheerful and her infectious smiles going down the hallways of Charles Best and Centennial.

Julia was so kind and gentle. She will be greatly missed.
