JOSEPH DALE BROWN Valparaiso, IN Joseph Dale Brown of Valparaiso, IN passed away on Wednesday January 9, 2008 at Porter Hospital Valparaiso Campus, Valparaiso, IN. He was born on May 28, 1937 in Mecca, IN to Leo Brown and Beatrice Hendricks Brown who preceded him in death. He married Darlene Riley Brown who survives of Valparaiso, IN. Joseph worked as a Pipe Fitter for Local #597. He served in the U.S. Army, was a member of Pipe Fitters Union Local #597, and taught Industrial Welding at Ivy Tech in Hobart from 1979 to 1984 and Ivy Tech in Valparaiso from 1984 to 1992. Also surviving are Sons Leo (Kris) Brown of East Bethel, MN, Brad (Mary) Brown of LaPorte, IN and Brian Brown of Valparaiso, IN. Sister Jane Ann (Gary) LaGrande of Waukegan, IL and 2 Grandchildren Joseph & Kassandra Brown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 12, 2008 at 2:00PM at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN with Rev. Rick Henderson Officiating, Interment Chesterton Cemetery.
