Dr. Julian Kelly "Jay" McLendon Jr.

Never Forgotten.......just remembering college days, at school, at Jay´s parents house, later when Jay was married to Darlene, visiting at each others home, before and after two adorable children came into the mix

Dr. McLendon was more than a doctor to my husband and I for more than 20 years. He always asked how my husband was and talked a lot to me after he passed. Then from 2016 until the last time I saw him last year He kept me from falling apart physically and mentally. He was a great person and friend. I remember he was so excited about his daughters wedding and was trying really hard to get the yard and everything ready! It was very obvious that he loved his family very, very much. It's hard when you've seen the same doctor for 25 years and now have to break in another. I'm praying for his family at home as well as the one he had with all his patients! He was loved and will be extremely missed. I never met anyone that didn't like him. I appreciate so very much the way he helped me so very many times!
Be at piece Doc! We will see you again!!

Darlene, I am so sorry for you and the kids. I just heard the news. Mac was a fantastic doctor and friend. He brought light and fun to everything around him.

Just heartbreaking. Simply put, Dr McLendon was everything you could hope for in a physician and a friend. His kind are never truly replaced. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to his wonderful family whom he was quite proud of.

Dr. Mac was more than my doctor, he was a friend. His passing is so very sad and I will always remember his kindness and caring ways he gave of himself. I´ve had the privilege of knowing him since 2006.
My heart and prayers go out to his family.

We are saddened by the passing of Jay, our nephew. We knew he was a keeper when Darlene first introduced him to the family. A kind, gentle mind who was very genuine and loving. He had such a big heart and loved life and his family as well as his friends . We never heard him say anything negative about anyone or anything. He was a pleasure to be around sharing that wonderful smile and we surely will miss him. Love and prayers to Darlene and family

Doc Mac was my doc for 30 years. I will miss him dearly. He always a kind and thoughtful demeanor. Prayers to his wife and children. He will be missed.

RIP to an amazing man, I was the youngest patient you ever took on... At 4 years old you became my first doctor, my only doctor for the next 30 years. To say you will be missed is an understatement. Thank you for being a genuinely kind person... as a teenager you actually listened to me when I was sick... thank you for always being the best doctor. May your family know just how truly amazing a human being you are.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Jay was a genuine nice guy. He graduated high school with my brother. His sister, Jann, was a good friend of mine in high school. I adored his parents. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest in Peace Dr Mac...he was my Dr from his beginning at ELFP...We also socialized at many car shows but he was always reluctant to enter his Gold Trans Am. You will be greatly missed

Dr. Mac was a kind and gentle soul. He has gotten my family and I through many stages in life . Always with a smile. We will miss him. Prayers for his family

Well....what would Robin say to the passing of Batman....just heartbroken. We climbed hills and trees and in and out of caves down at the "Rock House" before the house on the hill was completed...fished...shot BB guns...bows...rockets....real guns...rode horses..swam in all the ponds (who needs a pool when one has a pond)...camped out...built fires..rasied rabbits and dogs. and an alligator. We raced Buckboards like Rat Patrol...sledded when it snowed.....but put Jay on a motorcycle and he was in hog Heaven. Jay was a perfect combination of his great doctor Dad (Dr Mac #1) and his super loving Mom, Judy...he was the sweet spot they raised together with the loving help of MeeMaw and Jann. He was proud of his nephews and his kids. Ride easy my friend til we ride again together....much love to Darlene Kelly and Jessica...Gail and Cliff Coats Bremen

We loved Dr. Mac he was so good with caring for my dad : ) Cat lovers they were .... we've seen Dr. Mac for 20+ years : ( So, sorry for the families loss... He will dearly be missed...RIP

Dr McLendon was one of the best doctors I called on when I started in pharmaceuticals. I am so sorry to read this. Sending prayers and sympathy.

Jay was a friend in high school and my doctor during the time he practiced in Bremen. He will be missed by many.

Dr. Julian was our doctor for 20 years .He was the best .Our hearts are saddened .

Dr. Mccleadon was my doctor for 22 years. He was very caring and genuinely concerned with my health and well-being. I am very sad about his passing and will miss him.
