Julianne Silva Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 24, 2025.
Julianne Christina (Casey) Silva, age 63, of White Bear Lake, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025. She battled Parkinsonism for several years. Born in Minneapolis on June 28, 1962, Julianne lived in Rogers, Arkansas and Roseville, MN before settling in White Bear Lake. She is survived by her mother Carolyn Hokkanen-Hawkins; her sister, Jilayne Salisbury; her children, Christina (Brian) Sans Crainte, Quinn Casey, and Craig Casey; and her grandchildren, Finley Sans Crainte and Izzy Casey. And we can't forget the housecat, Bellaluna.

Julianne worked for many years as the Catering Coordinator at Panera and loved her customers and co-workers. She was an avid Razorback football fan from her years in Arkansas (Go Hogs!). She also loved spending time relaxing with family in Duluth, Minnesota. Julianne found joy in searching for agates on the North Shore of Lake Superior, taking photographs of sunrises on early morning walks, listening to live music, curling up with a good mystery book, and baking her favorite pumpkin cranberry orange bread. She will be deeply missed.

A special thanks goes the caring staff at Estates at Linden in Stillwater, MN for the loving care they provided in her time of need.

A celebration of her life will be held at the White Bear Lake Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2595 Buffalo St, White Bear Lake, MN on October 1st at 4:00pm. Refreshments and fellowship will follow at Boatworks Commons, 4495 Lake Ave So, White Bear Lake, MN.

Juli contacted me via Google + in 2011. I hadn't heard from her in many years. What followed was one of my most precious long distance friendships in my life, which continued until she was no longer able to communicate. She was so happy to become a grandmother, and she needed more happiness in her life.

I had a deep crush on her once, but she gently let me know that she couldn't return my feelings. But later in life, I was gifted her as a close friend who lived several hundred miles away. And that might have been even better. She turned out to be such an amazing person who valued her relationship with her creator.

I'll see her again one day. I can't wait.
