Julie was a light in the dark. She had a way of brightening any conversation, workday, or meeting! I will miss her.

I was shocked and sad to hear of Julie's passing. Julie was the BEST coworker you could have, warm, selfless and cheerful. I only met Julie once in person in Maryland, her laughing always made our meetings filled with joy. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Julie will be missed.

My sincere condolences. I always enjoyed her upbeat temperament!

Our lives were improved with Julie's presence, and so will heaven. We should find comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering or in pain. Peace be with her and the Schmitz and O"Brien families.

Julie was always very welcoming when I was away from home at school in Cincinnati. She and her sisters and brothers made me feel like I had a second family down there when I was in school and the many years to follow, that's something I'll never forget.

Julie was a unique character who loved everyone and everything. She treated me like family and always greeted you with that warm beautiful smile of hers, people like Julie are a rare find in this world and she will be sorely missed by many. Julie was an outstanding worker, SELFLESS, positively UPBEAT every minute, assisting whoever/whenever in their time of need. Friendships were her crowning glory which is evident by the size of the lunch bunch...Our Chili Cook-Offs will never be the same! Julie exceled at being a FRIEND and I am honored to have known her. Julie's spirit will always be infectious, in a good way :) Heaven just got the best...the one, the only Julie Schmitz...PEACE BE WITH YOU ALWAYS!!

So sorry to hear of Julie's passing. She was a model for radiating love for humankind, especially, her family. I saw some of her triumphs and tragedy of a greater divide than anyone else, I've ever known and through it all, she held fast to her Love of God and the Church. In my lifetime, I can't think of anyone I've known who will have a greater jubilee in Heaven, as she will, with those who went, before her, as her Love radiated, every time she was around.

Julie was one of my favorite people to work with, and I am blessed to have known her. She always had a way of brightening peoples day and keeping things fun around the office. She will truly be missed. My prayers go out to her family and friends. Be at peace Julie, miss you.

Following an accident that left me with a broken back in college, it was Julie who helped get me out of the house, get me on my feet, and helped me to start laughing again. I am so grateful to have had her in my life at such a difficult time & will cherish my memories of our time together.

What a loss to the population of kind funny and generous people in this world. Julie enthusiastically embraced me as family and included me in all things O'Brien. I will never feel so included as Julie made me feel.

To Steve, Alex, Rachel, Zoe and Eli, Julie was a great childhood friend who I spent many hours with laughing and playing sports and just hanging out. we were at the same schools through High School and I remember her meeting and marrying you, Steve. over the past 20+ years we have not crossed paths much but my love for her remains very dear. I know that her loss will leave a great void in your lives though I hope the memories you made will eventually bring more pleasure than pain. I am so sorry for your loss.

Steve and Alex, I am so sorry to hear of Julie's passing. She was a big part of my life many many moons ago. We worked together at FNB and then again at IRS. Julie always made me smile even if we were crying together. She was a very special person. I will always smile when I think of her.
