Julie Davis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 10, 2024.
Our sweet precious Julie left us too soon. She was the firstborn of five children and the world has not been the same since. She was born fully 12 days past her due date. We've always teased her that she started her life being late, and she never changed that. If you know Julie, you've spent part of your life waiting for her. But when she walked into the room, she would light it up with her pearly white smile and dazzling blue eyes. She was quick to apologize for being late, but she also had a million things she had crammed into the moments before she actually got into her car. And she might have been cramming a million things into her car while she was at it.

Her first word was "hi" and she used it liberally to meet everyone she saw. She was a collector of people the way others might collect rocks or stamps. She had a way of seeing the value in every human soul, no matter their skin color, station in life, or outward beauty. She loved you, and you knew it!

She had a special way to hug people. She called it 'heart to heart'. Most people would lean to their left to go in for a hug. Julie would lean right so your hearts could touch in the embrace.

She was so smart and witty. She could banter with the best of them and have the upper hand before you knew it. She could side-swipe you with a piece of humor you didn't see coming. She was masterful at getting people to belly laugh.

She loved nature and the great outdoors. She loved to hike and camp. That was often her place of solace. She loved the sun and the moon. She loved beautiful skies, beautiful flowers, and any little piece of, or grand display of a rainbow.

She had many very difficult trials in her life. Some she overcame with grace and finesse, others overcame her. I believe she experienced the highest of natural highs and the lowest of pain and hurt. She blossomed in spite of her trials.

She is the mother of three beautiful children, Elijah, Aletheia and Dahlia who will carry her legacy, all with the same dazzling blue eyes. Along with her children, she leaves behind her partner, Ryann. She is also survived by her mother and step-father, Allie and John Duffy and four siblings; Brad (Amanda) Davis, John Michael (Kait) Duffy, Bryce Duffy and Meghan Duffy.

I met Julie at work and she quickly became my best friend. Her friendship couldn´t have come at a more perfect time in my life. Julie had the biggest heart of anyone I had ever met. She was my soul mate in a friend and I´ll miss our two hour weekly chats. I had never seen her happier than when she married Ryan. Two beautiful souls that are forever united. I love you Julie.

Julie and I became friends through work. I will always cherish our conversations about so many topics/random stuff. One of my favorite things about Julie is how much she loved being a mom to her three beautiful children. You could just feel the warmth and love from her. She honestly just sparkled and it was so fun to be around her. You will be so missed my sweet, kind, and gentle friend. My condolences to Ryan, the children and all members of her family.

So many of my childhood pictures are Julie and Elizabeth at the zoo, or matching jammies at Christmas. We hadn´t seen each other much with adult life but I am so grateful I moved back to Utah and got to see you and your children more than if I lived elsewhere. I am so sorry this disease took you from us now. I hope you find peace and love where you are now. Much love and we miss you.
