Julie Grace Gricol

Julie Grace Gricol went to join her Lord in Heaven on June 11, 2009. Julie, 23 of Wilmington, was a proud 2004 graduate of Padua Academy and earned marketing and finance degrees from The University of Delaware in 2008. For the past 3 years she worked at Tony's Café where she loved meeting customers and working with the staff. Her energy at work was the same she exhibited throughout life, whether playing volleyball at Padua or for the Delaware club team; cheering on the Phillies; enjoying the beach and spending cherished time with friends and family. Her kindness and desire to help others was founded in her belief in God. Her family and friends were the focus of her life. Preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Grace McKinley and her paternal grandfather, Joseph Gricol. Julie is survived by her parents Jeff and Greta Gricol and her loving sister Kelley, of Wilmington, her maternal grandfather Robert McKinley, paternal grandmother Barbara Owens and her husband Richard, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Julie Gricol Memorial Fund which has been established in her memory at Padua Academy, 905 N. Broom St., Wilmington, DE 19806, Attention Alicia Lewandowski.
