Julie was my "lash lady" for many years who I considered a friend. During that time I was never aware of her ongoing battle with breast cancer until I saw the video she made while having a chemo treatment. I was shocked and saddened because I have never known a more unselfish, caring and beautiful woman. She did not deserve this fate. Whenever I asked her how she was doing, she always told me "I'm not going anywhere".

Wherever she is, I hope she's fishing and watching sea turtles swim around her.

To Julie's family, I am so sorry for the loss of your partner, sister, mother and grandmother.

I will never forget her.

I am very saddened and shocked to hear of Julie's passing. She was very brave and resilient in her previous bouts of illness, and inspirational in a very profound way. My condolences to her loved ones and family.
