Julie was a dynamic and talented organist. Her graduate study in organ with me was outstanding. I am indebted to her for organizing my required listening for all the undergraduate and graduate literature courses in organ performance in a CD format. Always prepared, her lessons were a joy. We had many good intellectual times together during those lessons.

I am sorry because I was unable to attend the funeral. Julie has been on my mind for the past few weeks from the morning when I wake up till I go to sleep. Even though she is now in a better place, I still feel a sharp pain in my heart when I realize she is gone. Julie will be missed forever. May she rest in peace. Love, Maja

What a talented young woman with such courage; a tremendous loss for us. Julie came from the strongest of stock; there is no better family than what she was a part of. We look forward to the day when we can hear Julie's music again.

Dear Julie,
I lifed you up in prayer for the month of June, but I was never sure what I should have prayed for for you. I know now that God in His most kind and compassionate wisdom knew what was the best for you, and I know that He has taken you up to see Him face to face, and to abide with Him forever.

Dr. Anderson and I first came to know Julie when she came, as a high school sophomore,to serve as organist at the First Presbyterian Church, Ponchatoula. From the beginning of her tenure until she graduated from high school and entered LSU, Julie was an important part of the life and worship of First Presbyterian, Ponchatoula congregation. We missed Julie when she departed to begin another adventure in her life, but our thoughts and prayers for her continued. I, personally, had the the opportunity to speak with Julie and give her a hug a few weeks ago before she returned to Florida. It was indeed a blessing for me and I shared this experience with my husband. We keep all of Julie's family and friends in our prayers as we remember her.

Julie and I were friends in High School. Our friendship continued during our college years - we visited each other on campus often when in College at LSU. She was majoring in Music from what I recall in 1994 I believe. Julie was one of my good friends but regrettably, we lost touch in the mid 1990's. I remember when Julie had the opportunity to travel to Europe after High School. She so enjoyed that trip she took with a family member. I still have the post card she sent to me when she visited Venice. I moved away from LA in 1998 to the Tampa Bay, Florida area where I resided for 18 years. My move to FL disallowed me from attending my 10 or 20 year high school reunions. Recently, we had our 30 year reunion for PHS. The night of the reunion, I learned that Julie was unable to attend. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time, especially for her husband and son.

Just as a beautiful melody lingers in memory long after the artist has left the stage, so love never dies. All of us who knew Julie loved both her artistry and her irrepressible spirit. We always will have the memory of that bright smile, captured so beautifully in the photo above. Her valiant battle is finished, but she has won the ultimate victory. The Peace of Christ IS now with her always. +
