Julieta Camacho Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 31, 2010.
Our beloved Beba and Julie left us on the evening of October 31, 2010. When we think of Julie her huge heart overflowing with love, smiling face, sense of humor and laughter all come to mind. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Julie was born on December 29, 1923 in Yuma, AZ, the youngest of four children born to Emilio and Romualda Delgado. Family was ever so important to her and did everything she could to help all family members. Julie and her older brother Romeo Delgado were practically inseparable because they enjoyed each other's company. She adored and loved to spoil her son Rene Camacho, grandchildren Tony Camacho, David Camacho, Julie Musselman, great grandson Harper Musselman and nephew Richard Delgado, whom she helped raise since he was 2 years old and treated him as her son. Julie's working career was as a sales lady at Franklins in National City and The Broadway in Chula Vista and retired in the early 1980's. After caring for her husband, Herb (aka Momo), her mother (aka Nana) and her sister Cora, Julie really started enjoying her retirement. Unfortunately, breast cancer put a halt to her fun for a few months. She fought and battled for a few months and became a proud cancer survivor. She was soon active again working on crafts, taking short excursions, longer trips to Hawaii; Oregon; Victoria, British Columbia; New York City (she flew home on 9/10/2001); a Mexican cruise;, shopping; going to the movies; the beach; eating out and just enjoying life. All these activities she enjoyed doing with her family and many friends whom she loved spending time with in person and conversations on the telephone. Julie's faith was a key part of her life. She loved her Father Almighty and prayed daily to Him for her family and friends. She was active in the choral group at St. Mary's Catholic Church, National City. Once she moved to Chula Vista, Julie began attending St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she also actively participated in church functions.Julie was always so giving to others and was willing to help whenever she was needed. Beba, we love you so much, will miss you a bunch and we will never forget you.
