Something else I would like to say about Julius is that he was better than our high school team put together. He is a inspiration to a lot of people. If I didn't watch teh movie "Remember The Titans" I don't know where I would be right now because he was my inspirational person. I never met him in real life but I seen the movie based off of the movie he is an amazing person.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Campbell at a nursing home I worked at. He was a visitor. He was such a kind man. He gave everyone titan pics with signatures. I was very sad to hear of his passing. I am blessed that I was able to meet him. Sending prayers and hugs to his family.

We will certainly miss Julius and the life lessons he helped share from experiences on and off of the athletic field. I had the privilege of meeting him several times through his appearances to support fundraising for the Gerry Bertier #42 Foundation. He helped raise thousands of dollars for spinal cord injury research and programming at VCU Health in Richmond, Va in the name of his former team mate on the gridiron. Thank you Julius for your emphasis on team work. The world is a better place for your contributions. Peace be with you and your family.

So sorry to hear of Julius passing. It was hard to go through the changes from George Washington, Frances Hammond and TC Williams transformation. But with the foot ball team that came out of that time it was the talk of the town. There were hard changes in lots of other places in the schools. But Julius did do his part to make the change easier. He will be missed by many and more so by the family that he loved. Stay strong in knowing that you will meet him later on. Remember the good times and making memories is so important.

I had the pleasure of meeting the coaches of TC Williams Titans football team, and sadly Gary had passed before the movie became a hit. Between those three men and Julius Campbell, they helped shaped a future. They were inspirational, even in a world that was no longer "in divide". May he rest in peace and his family find the peace to live in a world without him, but know he contributed to a more positive world. God Bless you and now care for you like the special man you were.

Remember the Titans is one of my all time favorite movies. The portrayal of Julius Campbell showed that faced with adversary, Julius stepped up to bring the whole team together. A true American Icon. Mr. Campbell's legacy is that he taught people to work together and love each other no matter what color their skin is. Remember the Titans is not a football story.
