Julius E. "Ed" Haigler COLUMBIA - Services for Julius E. "Ed" Haigler, 87, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Dutch Fork Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Richard Taylor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, July 21, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. Pallbearers will be Tripp Sloan, Todd Sloan, Damon Sipe, Brayden Sipe, Nick Haigler, Jeff Haigler, and Derek Haigler. Mr. Haigler passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017. Born in Orangeburg, he was a son of the late Ben and Ruby Austin Haigler. He was the husband of the late Betty Faye Joyner Haigler. Mr. Haigler was a member of Dutch Fork Baptist Church. A retired Staff Sgt., he proudly served his great country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge Boyleston Lodge #123. Surviving are his children, Edward M. Haigler and his wife, PJ, Brenda H. Sloan and her husband, O'Neil, Donald W. Haigler and his wife, Cindy; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ben B. Haigler, Jr., J.W. Haigler; two sisters, Mozelle Gunter and Mertice Weed.
