JULIUS E. OLSOVSKY

HALLETTSVILLE - Julius E. Olsovsky, 80, of Hallettsville, died June 20, 2008. He was born on Nov. 12, 1927, in Lavaca County, to Julius J. and Matilda Konvicka Olsovsky. He married Dorothy Anderkin Olsovsky on April 8, 1961 in Edna. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Julius is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Carolyn Jones of Irving, Cynthia Swain and husband Mike of Irving, and Catherine Laky and husband Steve of Dallas; brother, Sylvin J. Olsovsky of Hallettsville; sister, Dorothy Sicko of Hallettsville; and seven grandchildren, Julia, Alexander, Mary, Michael, Mark, Lauren, and Madeline.
Julius was preceded in death by parents and brother, George Olsovsky.
Visitation will be at 3 p.m. today at Kubena Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and 1:30 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Mike Swain, Steve Laky, Michael Swain, Mark Swain, Sylvin Olsovsky Jr., and Dwayne Olsovsky.
Memorials: donor's choice.

Dottie, I was so very saddened to hear of Mr. Olsovsky's passing. Duncan just mentioned it to me. I have many wonderful memories of your home from high school. Mainly, what a wonderful mother you were, and how I always felt welcome and at home. I hope I can see you and Catherine and family sometime soon. Love and best wishes to a family I will forever adore....

Dottie: I was so sorry to hear of Junior's death. Please accept our deepest sympathy in your loss. He was one of the sweetest and kindest men and I will never forget him. We know he is in a better place. Frances keeps me posted of how you guys were doing. God Blless you and your family.
