I have known June since I was a small girl. She and her family were devoted friends of my late sister Mary Etta Cole. June was a marvelous teacher and the kindest person ever. The lives she touched in positive ways are too numerous to count.

We were truly sadden to hear of June Arnold’s passing.
What an icon.
Her perfection and love of the Bible, music, and education will be extremely hard to replace. She graced each of us with her beauty-inside and out.
Prayers for Ray and all that are heartbroken.

June was a vessel of joy, sharing her smile and talents freely. She was bold, and bright. But to Kevin and me, it often felt like her encouragement was shining just on us, making us feel important and loved. To Ray, all gentle kindness and generosity, yet somehow always leaving us with a chuckle, we love you so very much. You and June will always be treasured.

June Arnold taught our son, and I worked in the library at Tayloe alongside her. She had so many gifts to offer her students and co-workers. I would say she was probably the most loved teacher there. Certainly at our house.
Who knew in her retirement she would give vocal concerts and charm our entire community. It didn't hurt that she was beautiful, as well Planet Earth is one angel short, but Heaven richer for her being there.

I was so fortunate to have June as my 3rd grade teacher. She made a huge impression on me. I went to ECU to get my teaching certificate and went back to John Cotton Tayloe to do my student teaching in June's 3rd grade classroom. I will cherish all the fond memories of June and her love for teaching and the students she taught.

Mrs. June was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever know. She always had a smile on her face and boy could she play a piano. I meet her at Chocowinity Baptist Church and she was my Sunday School Teacher and she did know her Bible and how to get the meaning of a verse through too you. I will always be fond of her. A very special lady.

I had Mrs. Arnold as a teacher in elementary school many many many years ago. She was the person who made me feel important enough to get my Bachelors and Masters. I will remember her forever and love her for showing me the power of grace. Loved those beautiful wide legged pantsuits she wore to class. She made a wonderful huge difference in my life and I will always be grateful. ❤

As a couple with young children, June got the children involved in children's choir. Then as with many in our church the adults followed. Through her gift of music she taught ,persuaded, encouraged and enjoyed her walk with God. Our children gained confidence plus God's words. Grandchildren are hearing some of those songs. Our church choir over the years exceeded expectations. June encouraged others to join with us for our Christmas, Easter or Patriotic productions. We have been blessed more than I can express by her Christian faith and positive approach to life. I will miss her.

June had a tremendously positive influence on my life as a child and young adult singing in choirs she directed. Her love for Christ shone through with the dedication, enthusiasm and talent she displayed through music. I strongly sense God’s presence through Christian music, which began with the choir practices and performances she sacrificed her time to lead.
