Gastonia - June Elizabeth Brown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 18, 2025, at Morningside of Gastonia. Born on January 27, 1941, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, June was the cherished daughter of the late John Barner and Mabel Hannah Barner.

June's life was marked by the love of her family and a passionate engagement with her interests. She delighted in taking cruises, playing golf, and nurturing her yard through gardening and farming. These hobbies brought her immense joy and allowed her to connect with the beauty of the world around her.

In a marriage that spanned an impressive 67 years, June shared her life with her devoted husband, George F. Brown. Together, they built a family that will carry on her legacy. She is survived by her son, John Brown, and his wife, Robin, along with her three adoring grandchildren: Carrie, Kyle, and Chan. June also leaves behind a great-grandson, Kiser, and a soon-to-arrive great-grandchild, Kennedy. Her loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her nieces, JoAnna and LeAnn, and her nephews, Ray and Shawn.

Throughout her life, June stood as a pillar of strength, kindness, and devotion to her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Barner; her sisters, Helen Perry and Nancy Barner; and her sister-in-law, Rose Brown, each of whom she cared for deeply.
