I think of June every time I go to the theater. I wish I could go with hr again, and talk about the show all the way home on the bus.

I always wanted to work in a book publishing environment and June interviewed me and gave me my first job in 1982! I have very fond memories of her. Jennifer Daughtry

June opened the LIFE door to me when I was young and through it a great opportunity and a rich hallway of talent to learn from and people who became lifelong friends. I'm sorry I let time pass without thanking her for what she did for me and telling her how much her smile made everything right. She must have been the best-ever aunt. I am sorry for your and our loss.

A very kind person. Good at hearing out agitated editors, and then offering solutions. Must have been very smart to negotiate the stacks and stacks of folders she kept in her office at Life magazine.

June hired me at LIFE in 1990. She was a kind and supportive boss, very much an office mom to her team of reporter/researchers and someone so many of us valued and enjoyed spending time with even when we moved on from her team or -- eventually -- LIFE and Time Inc. I'll miss not receiving June's holiday card with a special handwritten note to me and my family. I'll miss not being able to reach out to June during my occasional trips back to New York. My condolences to June's nieces and nephews (she was so proud of you!) and friends.

June was a high school friend. i haven't seen her many times through the years but when we connected when I visited New York the years melted away. Her brilliance shone through even then. I will miss her

Kind, funny, tolerant, smart, loving -- June was all that. She had the gift of friendship. There was no one better.
She rests in God's sheltering arms now.

All condolences to June's family. June was my boss, and then my friend, for years. We went to see theater together, and she was always so thoughtful about asking me if I'd like an extra ticket. She spoke so proudly and lovingly about her family, her nieces and nephews. Please let me know if there will be a Zoom service. Thank you, Jenny

June was smart, kind, gentle, and a wonderful and warm human being. We had many fun times when I first moved to the Upper West Side and we met through mutual friends at TimeLife. I will treasure her memory.
