June V. Green, age 74, of Manchester Twp., NJ, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Mrs. Green was born on December 3, 1937 in Manhattan, NY. June was a resident of Lakewood for 50 years before moving to Manchester 8 years ago. She retired from the Township of Lakewood, NJ where she served in the Department Traffic and Safety. She worked as crossing guard, parking enforcement official, matron, and finally as assistant purchasing agent before retiring in 2002. She was a devoted family person who cherished children. June also enjoyed camping and travel with her late husband and family. Wife of the late Edward Green and sister of the late Ronald Hildebrand, she is survived by her 3 children, Ronald and his wife Bonnie, Joseph and his wife Priscilla, and John and his wife Michele; a brother, Thomas Wesner and his wife Elaine; a sister-in-law, Iris Hildebrand; 4 grandchildren, Angelique, Tyler, Kayla, and Brian; 3 honorary grandchildren Devin Campanella, and Carlie and Andrew Snider; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the D'Elia Funeral Home, Rte. 70 & Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Her funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20 Monterey Circle, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Burial will follow in St. Mary of The Lake Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 51 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
