June 23, 1927 ~ April 16, 2015
On Thursday, April 16, 2015 our dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend left us to join the love of her life, her dear Kenneth who has patiently awaited their reunion. Mother leaves a legacy of gentle dignity, unconditional love and an amazing sense of humour. She touched the lives of many and they are better people for having known her. June is survived by her greatest treasures - 6 children: Ellen (Craig), Jack (Valerie), David (Michelle), Michael (Leah), Cathy (Gary), Alison (Darren); 12 grandchildren, 4 sisters, numerous friends, especially Pat and Helen. Mother's Catholic faith was very precious to her and sustained her along this, her final journey. Vigil of Prayer will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 at the chapel of the Saskatoon Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St. Paul's Co- Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, June asked that people donate blood, the Gift of Life, which gave her 5 precious months with family and friends. Ellen, Jack, David, Michael, Cathy and Allison please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your Mom.
We were next door neighbours while in Estevan, and she became my closest friend there. We had many coffee's, long talks, and most were with much laughter. She was such fun to be with!
Today I was so saddened to learn that she was no longer with us.
I will always have warm, and wonderful memories of June.

To all of the family, my deepest sympathy. I wish I'd met all of you, and wish I could attend the funeral. But it was a blessing to me that I did meet your father and mother. Even though we were at a distance, they became very important in my life. They were both very special people and I have fond memories and June's beautiful letters as keepsakes of special times in their company. Ellen, I always think of the story you told about your Mom how she use to put on her lipstick before your Dad got home. She was always vibrant,beautiful, young at heart as well as mind....I know she leaves you with many precious memories and you will miss her greatly. I absolutely loved your mom. She made my Wednesday's a complete delight- and I always left her suite smiling ear to ear. I can't think of a better gift., but it must be genetic because it shines through the daughters I had the joy of meeting. I'll miss your mom and I am so sorry for your loss.
