Her daughter Jan and I were "best friends" since kindergarten. I felt like I spent half my childhood in the Rush's home; many summer afternoons and countless sleepovers. Mrs Rush made me feel so welcome and so loved. She was such a role model to me. I remember thinking that if I ever had children, I would do everything I could to be the welcoming loving presence to my kid's friends that Mrs Rush was to me. My children are adults now, and many of their childhood friends still stay in touch. That is her legacy to me, and I am so grateful to her and the entire Rush family for sharing themselves.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Junes recent death. For many years June,Bob and the girls were next door neighbors, friends, playmates on West Manilla Ave.I have many fond memories of June over the years.
she was a empathetic, kind and gracious mother, wife and neighbor.I am thankful to have some time with June in 2010 while in Pittsburgh. After many years it was wonderful to catch up on her life and of course the girls. June was a dedicated mother, wife and Christian. She was of great support to my sister during an illness she dealt with as a teenager..she knew how consoling, sincere words 0f caring would heal.As wih my sister,June gave many hours to her faith and beliefs. She will be remembered by many friends..od and new.

To the entire Rush family,
You have our sympathies at this utmost difficult time. "Mrs. Rush" as she was known to all in Green Tree, was a remarkable person. Her infectious laugh will remain a constant companion of mine in particular.
She was loved by all who knew her.
She was a trusting, kind and genuine friend of the Torino Family.
May she rest in peace.
Much love to you all~
Michele Torino,
Cheryl, John, Karen & Michael

I feel privileged to have met this wonderful lady and her husband at her home in 2014, and to have accepted her grandson Rob as a cherished member of my family.
She was a caring hostess and made us feel so very welcome. I wish it had been possible to spend more time in her company.
My deepest sympathies to her family.

I remember Mrs Rush as such a sweet lady. She was my substitute teacher many times. My Mom ( Audrey Staaf) and her were great friends. How lucky you are to have had her for 90 years. May she rest in peace.
