June Snair Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 6, 2025.
June Martha Snair, aged 70 of Coon Rapids, MN, passed away naturally in her home on June 1, 2025. Born on July 28, 1954, she was the beloved daughter of June Margaret Sutherland and Theodore Balvin of Minneapolis, MN.

June was known for her ability to use humor to keep people smiling. She enjoyed working with her hands by engaging in cross-stitch, woodworking, painting and gardening. She treasured moments with all of her 3 children and grandson, with hugs that held on. June relished in family memories with her abundant collection of photographs and notes. June had an enigmatic magnetism when meeting new people, as she could easily engage them with some quick wit or a playful comment. Her strong mind and resilience were beyond compare when it came to her health and aging. Forever a youthful spirit, she defeated Stage IV Lung Cancer and hospice care more than 15 years ago. Her chronic health conditions didn't stop her from

enjoying the simple pleasures that she chose throughout her life. June's free spirit shall live on for eternity.

A memorial will be held at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park, Pavillion 1, closest to the main Visitor Center on July 13, 2025 at 11:00am. Light refreshments will be served.

June is preceded in death by her son Jason Balvin (28) and survived by her daughters Jodi Peltier (John), and Jennifer Hatcher (Pat), along with her grandson Gabriel Peltier; brothers Brad (Gladys) and Arvid Balvin.

Any stories or photographs that may contribute to June's legacy will be graciously accepted.
