Justin Bateman Obituary
Justin Wayne Bateman, born July 8, 1986 in San Antonio, Texas, passed away March 16, 2015 at the age of 28. For those that knew Justin, it goes without saying that he would drop what he was doing to help anyone. Since the news of his tragic death due to a motorcycle accident, the stories, messages, and photos from hundreds have flowed in to the family, which has been comforting. His big heart beat most proudly for his children, Callie and Carter, and for the love of his life, Tiffany. To his nephew and niece, Peyton and Abby, he was known as "Uncle J" who was the adoring uncle that tossed them in the air and made them laugh. Our hearts are broken, but his heart continues to beat in a donor recipient in need of a heart, while other organs are helping many in need. This too comforts the family, knowing that Justin continues to help others. We know he would want that. Justin excelled in many sports, and loved playing golf at Sonterra. He was a graduate of Reagan High School, class of 2004, and he worked at Kirkland Construction as a heavy equipment operator, until just recently when he started working at Southwest Electrical Contracting Services. Justin was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, William Bateman and Maternal Grandparents, Eileen and Frank Baird. Survivors include his fiancée, Tiffany Nicole Jehl; his precious children, Callie and Carter; mother, Janice (JK) Huey and husband John; father, William E. Bateman; grandmother, Margaret Bateman; grandparents: John and Patricia Huey; sister, Amy Gordon and husband, Shannon; nephew Peyton, niece Abigail, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and a host of friends.
SERVICES
Visitation will begin on Friday, March 20 at 6:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 3:00 p.m. at Mission Park with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park. Pallbearers: Chris Huey, Shannon Gordon, Brian Brown, Kenny Bridgeman, Franky Steele, Joshua Jahns, Shayne Plumb, and Derek Skala In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to an account set up for his children at Wells Fargo, account number 2539361473, routing number 111900659 or to a foundation set up by his close friends on Facebook at http://gfwd.at/1BLfZEP For personal acknowledgement you may sign the guest book at www.missionparks.com in the obituary section.

JK & Family - My throughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I didn't know Justin personally but will never forget being in the car with JK the evening Justin came across the accident and stayed with the young lady in her last moments and that he was picking up the engagement ring. JK hung up and shared with me a little bit about Justin, I could hear how proud JK was of him and what an incredible heart Justin had.
