Even though I did not have the pleasure of knowing Justin as an adult, I have vivid memories of him being a kind, smart and gentle spirit, even in the little classrooms of Roosevelt school. My heart goes out to all of you who were blessed to have him in your life experience. Clearly, he was deeply loved. Peace, light and healing prayers to you all.

To Justin's family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Justin through rock climbing when I lived in DC. He was an amazing person! I agree with our mutual friend who said, he did more in 39 years than most people do in a lifetime. And he was kind and funny and down to earth. He will be missed.

Dear Sharon and Jim,

We offer our condolences at this time of your loss and grief. Justin was a high school classmate and friend of our son, Joshua, and we enjoyed knowing him through "The Fab Five", as they called their chums. He was a delightful, upbeat, respectful young man and we hope your loving memories console you at this difficult time.

Dear Sharon and Jim,

Although you do not know me, you know my daughter, Christine Coleman Bovo. I knew Justin through Christine and through my other daughter, Colleen Coleman Starling.

Justin was a wonderful friend to Christine always. They seemed to be kindred spirits. He was so kind and gentle and fun to be around. He brought out the best traits in Christine. He believed in her when she had doubts, for instance, when they were rock climbing.

When he agreed to officiate at Christine and Marcos wedding, she was so happy. Having him there was great joy to her and to all of us. The friendship they shared was beyond special. It is so sad for you and for all of his friends to have to say good bye for now.

Last summer, Justin also agreed to officiate at the wedding of my youngest daughter, Colleen. He was wonderful with her and Jon and made their day so memorable.

My sincerest sympathy to you and your family. You have lost a wonderful son and we have lost a great friend. Please know how special he was to us. He lives on in our memories.
