Justin Fisher Obituary
February 8, 1974-January 28, 2018
Beloved husband, father and son passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 28 at
the age of 43. Brooks was the loving husband of Sara and adoring father of Ashley, Cayden
and stepdaughter Bella. He was a beloved son to Audrey and Tim Fisher. Brooks is also
survived by siblings Matthew, Lilah and Nina.
Brooks was graduated from the Taft School in Connecticut and Middlebury College in
Vermont. He was a founder and board member of Centerstone Technologies and PedPed LLC.
Brooks was an accomplished outdoorsman, athlete and rancher in Boulder, Colorado.
He was happiest walking on his land at Whisper Mountain Ranch. He was a passionate
conservationist and firm believer in the reality of global warming, helping to produce an
upcoming documentary by his friend Jim Balog.
Brooks had a remarkable sense of humor and love of life and family. He will be forever
missed.
Brooks' life will be celebrated on Friday, February 2nd in Gold Hill, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to any environmental cause.

Brooks one one of my first friends at shady side academy. He was a special spirit and was liked by everyone. He always has a smile and was caring a positive towards everyone. I was just digging around online and am saddened to learn of his passing. Rest In Peace Brooks.

This is so sad. The night I meet him he cheered me up by inviting me to the opening concert of E-Town Hall. They were one off the beneficiaries of His Foundation for the Arts. What a worm kind,fun, soul to have lost.

My husband Dennis Gaughan worked for the Fishers and saw the Fisher children grow up. He loved those kids. He loved Brooks and would be heart broken by his untimely death.

I am so heartbroken hearing about Brooks passing. While I hadn't seen him in years, I fondly remember him from my childhood in Pittsburgh and Beaumaris. I came to know Brooks as a service provider helping him with telephone needs. I provide service to about 200+ customers but not a one treated me as well as Brooks Fisher!
After almost 40 yrs in the business I have become accustomed to being just a worker but after some time we had become friends. When I had work to do at Whisper Mtn Ranch he always greeted me upon arrival with a big bear hug. I once asked if maybe I could get some firewood, his response was, Red you can have all the firewood you want. He welcomed me and my son into his home as we were family.
My heart is broken for your loss and all the folks like me that were so privileged to have been blessed by such a kind loving mountain of a man.
Let's all remember his love for us and all that he did to share and help.

I simply cannot find the words to convey how heavy my heart grew after hearing about Brooks passing. I still cannot believe it. I saw just how strong the bond was between the four of you at Thanksgiving last year, that you were so kind to invite me to. I will never forget it. Now also for the reason that it was there that I got to meet Brooks.
Not all families share that closeness, and as wonderful it was to witness at the time, the more painful it is now to know that he was taken from you much too early.
I also think about his two wonderful children; grounded, interesting and wise beyond their years, that I had the privilege to meet then as well. They are a testament to Brooks character- to both their parents.
My heart and thoughts are with you every step of the way.
