It’s hard to believe Justin has been gone for 10 years. He has never been forgotten ❤❤

I had the privilege to meet Justin while visiting a close friend only a few weeks before he passed away. We spent a few days hanging out, talking, cooking and playing video games together. I just remember how kind and friendly he was to welcome me into his home and share his time and interests with me. He was a good man and I wont ever forget him.

To have the honor today to meet with all of you Bishop Blanchet grads and to meet your parents and relatives, again - was amazing. Dan and I were humbled in representing Dylan at the beach today. You are all very special - as is Justin. May he revel in hot sauce, unique concoctions and friends forever. Peace and prayers to you all,

Dear Joe and family - and Justin (because we know you see and hear us)
Justin - as our "other" son - you are in our thoughts and prayers daily. WE miss you so much. There is no one who can leave shoes at the door and raid our refrigerator with the art that you can - steal the guest bedroom with no one being aware and waking up in the morning, as positive and as bright as anyone could be. We miss you all the time. And your family is , every day, in our thoughts and prayers. We know that you will be present here and in Uganda, with your seeds and your spirit, farming. I am very sorry for your lose. Seeing you lose Justin makes me realize that problems I see as big, are in fact trivial.

Joe, I couldn't believe it when I heard the news. I am devastated. How much we all enjoyed your family, and you as their father, you were a model of Christ's light. We all remember the bright and talented children of the Small family: Jhomar, Justin, and Jessica. To think of you losing your middle child is unimaginable. I don't know what to say except that I'm so sorry and I am praying for your recovery from this tragic loss.

I was so saddened to hear that you have lost Justin. Many years ago he sat in my 2nd grade classroom at St. Ben's. He was a kind and sweet young boy with I smile that I still remember today. May you find peace in the memories that you have as a family. I will keep you in my prayers.

My deepest sympathies to the Small family and friends. The tragic loss of Justin at such a young age makes us all re-evaluate the important things in life. I was fortunate to have the privilege to get to know Justin at WWU. He was incredibly gracious, considerate, and available to volunteer when needed. This summer we were working closely on his resume and cover letter as he would be applying for his first Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management (MSCM) internship this fall. Justin was extremely excited to be in the MSCM program and mentioned discussing his career goals with his brother who had given him very sound advice. He will be missed.

Justin was a great classmate, always willing to stay late and help us out with assignments even if he hadn't met us yet. Western won't be the same without him. My deepest sympathies, he will most certainly be missed.

My condolences to the Small family. I was crushed to hear of this tragic loss. I had the pleasure of teaching Justin at Bishop Blanchet, and I will remember him as many others likely will - smiling, exuberant, curious, and fast. I'm praying for your family and for Justin.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your son, brother, and friend Justin. My son attended Blanchet High School with Justin and said that he was one of the nicest kids in the class - good to everyone, comfortable to be around, hubmle in his accomplishments, and a very good person.
