I am very sorry for your lost. I wasn't able to make his wake or funeral do to my own personal situations in my life. I had the pleasure of meeting your son, and I know he was a good kid, who had a good heart. I pray now he is with god, and happy. I know this must hurt a great deal, It hurts me to even imagine. My son is also 19 , and graduated with Justin at Commerce, this was a shock to all of us..but you have god to help you through it all. I will keep you in my prayers. God bless you all..

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to Justin's family during this difficult time. Justin was a student in my U.S. History class at Commerce during his junior year. Justin stood out as a very intelligent, respectful, and caring young man. He is one of those students that always stood out in my mind. He will be greatly missed.

Well Just, You were buried today. I did not go because I do not like good-byes just cya's. One day we will all see each other again. I met your mom for the first time today at your funeral. Not a good time to meet but a time to know that in some way, we are family. She loved you as a mom loves a child, I loved you as an aunt would. Rest Justin cuz when I get there, the game is on. I will beat you at GTA if it pains me to do it!

The Lord has a new angel in his team, Justin Shaver. May his spirit of willingness and courage live with us forever. May the Lord be with his family and friends through this difficult time.


To his parents:
I had the pleasure to meet Justin as a Graduate Assistant with the Urban Ed. Program of Westfield State College. After having one conversation with him about his goals, what he had been through in his life and how he wanted to work for ESPN, I was so impressed with your son. All I could say after that conversation was "WOW He is SO Impressive! I can totally see him on ESPN!" He had an amazing smile like everyone says, a great heart, and a desire to succeed. Justin's spirit will remain with us forever. When you think you can’t make it through this by yourself, always remember that The Lord is standing right by your side. You only need to allow him. May The Lord be with you always. You raised a great kid, did you know that? I am so thankfull I had the opportunity to meet him and you should be very proud of him. Now our God has an amazing angel in his team, Justin Nathaniel Shaver.

It is a tragic loss any time a young person's life is cut short especially someone like Justin who had so much potential. I had the pleasure of getting to know Justin and working with him to prepare himself for the rigors of college life at WSC.
He had overcome a lot of obstacles to become part of the UEP summer experience and was looking forward to beginning his first year of college. Justin had the gift of gab and could light up a room with his enthusiasm.
His energy level was high and with direction he would have been able to accomplish all his goals. Please know that he will be missed by all of the Urban Education Program students, staff and faculty that had the pleasure of getting to know him this summer. May he rest in peace.

To the family, relatives and friends of Justin Shaver. Remember that those who love God can rest assured that they will be part of Gods Kingdom in Heaven where there will be no more pain or suffering and they shall dwell with God for eternity.
