Jimmy is an always present and welcome memory. Recently I was remembering his comment that he was to academics what Einstein was to ballet.

I was saddened to learn of Jimmy's passing. I pray that the loving care of family and friends, along with the many wonderful memories of Jimmy will bring you comfort.

So hard to believe. Seems like yesterday he was an essential presence in the UAB Honors Program even though it was more than 25 years ago. Many of us will never forget him and always love him.

Jimmy told me once that his name referred to the light of a candle. He was like that, a light in the darkness, a warm and compelling point of energy. We were good friends during his time at UAB, and I thought the world of him. My deepest sympathies are with his family and friends as they adjust to a much darker world in his absence.

Jimmy you will be missed deeply. May your soul Rest In Peace. To Rajiv and mona my deepest condolences to you both . It's very difficult and heartbreaking to see your loved one gone. May God give you strength and peace to bear this loss . I am here if you need anything or a hug.
