Kaileigh Dexter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 10, 2025.
Kaileigh Nichole Dexter (née Meade), 33, passed away on February 7, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona.

Born on April 9, 1991, in Tucson, Kaileigh lived a life filled with love, faith, and deep devotion to her family. In 2021, she gave her life to the Lord and was water baptized, sharing her love of Jesus and faith with her children. Kaileigh's kindness and compassion touched everyone she met. She loved from a pure heart and led by example, teaching those around her about true forgiveness. Always seeing the good in others and genuinely caring for everyone who crossed her path.

Kaileigh's greatest joy in life was being a mother to her three beloved sons: John Lee (9), Declan (4), and Logan (2). Every moment spent with them was intentional-filled with laughter, love, and the creation of beautiful memories. She found happiness in deep conversations, true connections, singing, dancing, and capturing life's moments through photography. Nature was a source of peace for Kaileigh; she cherished the ocean, hiking adventures, and time spent outdoors. Above all else, family meant everything to her.

Kaileigh is now reunited in heaven with her gramps Dudley L. Meade Jr., grandma Delores A. Meade, nana Sheila J. Dowdy, and her great-aunt Beverly E. Quattlebaum Freund. She is deeply missed by her brothers Nicholas M. Burk and Tyler J. Burk; father Bruce D. Meade; mother Tabitha L. Shepherd; bonus father Wesley S. Shepherd; aunts Donna L. Meade, Angel N. Terrell, and Kari L. Flores; as well as many cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, and countless friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity of spirit.

A celebration of life will be held on March 20, 2025; location and time will be announced at a later date.

Until we meet again-fly free, Sweet One. You are loved forever.

Sweeties, I'll always love and care about you. You'll always have my heart. I promise to raise our boys with your touch, so the influence you wanted on them will still continue, and I'll pick up the things that only you would do for them. In that way I will honor you always and keep your memory alive. The boys will always know who their mother was and how awesome she was. Thank God for all the photos and videos we took!! We can all honor her memory by being obedient to the Lord, being charitable to those in need, and living good lives.

The day i met Kaileigh we instantly clicked. Her strong bubbly personality made work feel fun, and not so much as a chore. Days we worked together meant i could tell her every little thing on my mind, and i knew she would listen. Not only was she a great friend, but she was a great mother. I always told her that i wish she could adopt me or just take me in and that one day i hope i could be just half of the great mom she was. Sending love and prayers to her family and anybody lucky enough to have known her, because i will forever be grateful that God put her in my life! <3

The day i met Kaileigh, i knew that we were instantly going to click. She made work feel fun and bright with her amazing bubbly personality. Working with her meant i had someone to talk to about anything, a shoulder to cry on, and a friend to laugh with. I´m so grateful i got to know such a beautiful soul. Anybody who got to know her, knows how much of a selfless person she is, and i will forever thank God that i met her. Although I never met Kaileigh, I feel I knew her deepest inner self through her Mom with our hours of phone conversations. Kaileigh was a beautiful person both inside and out. Although we didn't find each other until a little over a year ago we are family and we have developed a strong bond and love for one another. My thoughts, love and Prayers are with Tabitha, Wes, her beautiful boys and all who knew and loved Kaileigh. She will be loved and missed by many.

This beautiful, headstrong, outspoken, young lady sat in my office and taught me how to be one of the most non judgmental and compassionate case managers. I learned that one size doesn´t fit all and that no matter how good I thought I was, I didn´t know everything. We butted heads and then we bonded and developed love and respect for each other. Long after she elevated from my caseload she still remained on my heart and mind. I was fortunate to have known this beautiful soul. " A beautiful soul is never forgotten, just remembered with great love." My prayers and love are with the family.
