Kaleb was a very gentle-hearted boy. He was kind and loving, found a solution to every problem. Kaleb inspired many and did it with a kind heart. He had his way with words and made sure everyone was included. Kaleb is deeply missed and will never be forgotten in our hearts. We love him and know he is in a better place now. He was the only cousin from my dad´s side I knew and I miss him so very much. Kaleb inspired me to play basketball and to stay strong.

Kaleb had a light presence around him, and was a very genuine and caring person. He was passionate about the things he was doing, and that made him a very unique and amazing person. He is with our Heavenly Father, and now we have a new intercessor in Heaven :) I pray the family receives comfort during this time.

Kaleb had so much compassion for the world. He was always present in our Bible study fellowship. Just as we are one body in Christ we know we all live together with Him, even past our lives on earth.

Kaleb showed up and always had great thoughts during Coptic Club. He is missed.

Kaleb, you will be truly missed. I can't believe you are gone already. I missed our good political conversation. You were so thoughtful, energetic, and optimistic. You were a truly remarkable young man and I am honored that I got to know you a bit, even thought it was so short. Rest in peace. I know you are in God's presence right now, where you no longer have to suffer anymore. I will be looking forward to meeting you up in Heaven one day.

Kaleb was a classmate and friend of mine at the University of Maryland. We had an Economic´s class together and were in several of the same clubs. He had an outstanding understanding of politics and I´ll miss our discussions on the latest current events.


He was a natural leader in the classroom. I remember in the week leading to our Macroeconomics exam he coordinated a group chat with the entire class and proceeded to host a study group which helped many of us pass the challenging course.

May the Lord Jesus be near to his family in this time.

Kaleb is the brightest, the kindest and the most disciplined young man I have ever known. We love you and we miss you.

I first met Caleb when he was just 8 years old. I was amazed by how gentle he was and how deeply he loved his family. After my son came to us we had the opportunity to see Kaleb several times during Thanksgiving. My son and Caleb were so happy to have met each other . I will never forget the joy they shared . now that kaleb has become a child of God and has been called home , I know that God is holding him in his hand . Caleb will always live in our hearts

Thank you for changing my world. When I came to this country, everything felt overwhelming. I could barely speak English, struggled to connect with others, and often felt like an outsider. When my parents dropped me off that day, I had no idea how much my life was about to change.

I remember how you, me, and Kerod used to ride bikes, play video games, and watch movies together. At the time, it just felt like fun. But looking back, those moments meant so much more. They helped me learn English, adjust to a new life, and most importantly, feel like I belonged. Those weren´t just games or movies-they were a bridge to a new world. And you were right there beside me through it all. That´s something I´ll never forget.

Even on the worst days, when nothing seemed to go right, you had a way of making everything feel okay. If I could talk to you one more time, I´d tell you how much you meant to me and how deeply I´ll miss you.

I wish we had gone on that Ethiopian trip sooner. I could´ve introduced you to other cousins you´d never met-you would´ve loved them, and they would´ve loved you just as much.

No matter where life takes me, a part of you will always be with me-in the kindness you showed and in the bond we shared.

Although I never had the chance to meet him in person, our phone conversation three years ago left a profound impression of his kindness and warmth. He truly embodied the humility and goodness that my mom and others often spoke of.

It is truly heartbreaking to lose such a promising young person like Kaleb Beyene. I had the privilege of seeing him with his father, Negasi Beyene, a man who dedicated his life to defending Ethiopia and its cause. One of the most moving testimonies I heard during the funeral was from a neighbor, who spoke of Kaleb's deep love for Ethiopia- a love instilled in him from an early age. He not only cherished his country but also embraced its people with genuine affection whenever he had the opportunity. Kaleb would have grown to be a devoted Ethiopian, and his loss is felt not just by his parents, but by all of us. Negasi, I deeply feel your sorrow, and may God Almighty bless his soul.
