Les and family,
Please accept my sincerest condolences on your loss.I always enjoyed spotting your dad walking briskly and looking debeanour downtown and was always envious of his CC license plate. My father also passed away at age 85 about 6 months ago...i am comforted by the fact that he will always be a big part of me which makes it easier to deal with..I'm hoping that thought will give you comfort and that you enjoy many fond memories.
Be well, Richard Marcus

It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of Kal. He was a generous friend and played an important role in my political career as did his son Maurice.
To all members of the family I send my condolences.

Kalman's death brings back many memories of the childhood we shared as cousins, children of sisters Lena Tarshis Samuels and Anne Tarshis Batshaw,of Kalman's beginnings as a young lawyer, and my uncle Maurice, his warm, generous and witty Father, whom he so closely resembled.
I know how hard his loss must be for the generations of the Samuels and Taveroffs who treasured him. Fred and I send our warmest sympathies.
