Kami Choate Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 24, 2021.
Kami Jo-Anne Choate 2/18/1993 - 12/24/2021 Kami J. Choate, 28, of Falls City, Nebraska departed this life on Friday December 24th, 2021 at her home in Beatrice surrounded by her family, old and new. Kami was born on February 18, 1993 in Falls City Nebraska to David W Choate and Elizabeth "Cissy" A Choate (Rock). She attended Beatrice Public Schools until graduation in 2011. After graduation Kami went on to continue work as she did not feel that college was for her. Kami married Ryan J Wagar on 12/11/21 in Beatrice, Nebraska. Together they had a blended family of 6. Kami having 3 children and Ryan having 1 child. Kami spent most of her time in the southeast part of Nebraska. Kami met Ryan her freshman year in high school through mutual friends. Over the years, they became friends and that only made the foundation of their relationship stronger. However, It wasn't until 6/30/2021, they decided to take their friendship further and started dating. Shortly after Kami had to start Chemotherapy and in between her sleeping schedule, Kami and Ryan would binge watch whatever show she wanted to listen to. As well as they would listen to a lot of music and talk about things in life. Kami was very blunt and would tell you what she thought and kept life interesting through all of the things that came with her cancer. Kami never found time to complain and if she was able, she was right there with the best of them. She continued to laugh and fight through the issues that would arise. Kami made sure that she was there for anyone that needed her. As she was a woman who loved everyone for who they were and she made sure that they knew the love she had for them was there. She provided a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on but then would tell you to pick yourself up and change your situation. Kami was like her mother, family-oriented and showed appreciation to everyone that she considered to be her family. Kami was taken from this life too soon, at the age of 28, she always reminded her children that she would be there for them no matter the situation. She made sure that her children were well aware that they were the upmost important thing to her up until her passing. Kami also made sure that her children knew that she did and always will love them. Kami is preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth "Cissy" A. Rock on 1/18/2021. Kami is survived by her siblings; Devin Choate of Beatrice, Brennan Choate of Beatrice, Joshua Choate of Falls City, and Jennifer Choate of Lincoln. She is survived by her children; Animika Choate of Beatrice, Sienna Snider of Mahaska Ks, and Presley Snider of Mahaska KS. Kami is also survived by nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles.

God bless all of Kami's surviving friends and family. I was never fortunate enough to meet Kami in person. I know her through my daughter Jordan Withers, and all the wonderful posts from her brother and special friend Brennan.

Oh Kami, I will forever miss you. It breaks my heart that you are gone, but I know that you aren't in any pain and you are with your Mama.
You were so much fun to work with at Cenex and so easy to talk to. I will miss you popping up on Messenger and just want to chat.
To the Girls, Know that your Mama loved you and will always be watching over you. She loved you more than anything in this world. I hope you learn just how much she loved you and how she tried to stay strong for the three of you. May her love for you shine on everything you touch, learn and love. She will forever be your Guardian Angel. Bless you all.
Sweet Dreams Kami Jo. <3

To kamis babies, your mom lit up a room with her amazing smile. She was a very good friend of mine when we younger. She was strong and didn't let anyone get her down. I am very happy to have met her. May the light guide her on her journeys.
