There once was a lady who could walk into a room and grab everyone's attention with her vivacious vibe, engaging eyes, and sweet smile. Kandra was an energy that you could feel the moment she was in your presence. It is with the deepest sadness that we notify those who had the pleasure of feeling her energy and those that never will, that our mermaid Kandra unexpectedly left this land for bigger seas on Monday, September 19th, 2022. Kandra LaNae Thydean was born March 1st, 1988 in Roswell, NM to her father "Papa G" (Graham Potter) and her mother LaNae Potter (who she joins in heaven). She had a light and a smile that brightened our skies and turned our oceans vibrant aqua, like the color of her eyes. She passed on her infectious smile and light to her surviving beautiful daughters Teryn Lanae (14), Lila Grace (9) and Brighton Mary (8). She loved her daughters more than anything in this world; they are her heart walking outside her body. They have a piece of her with them always. She also loved life. She helped so many people climb out of dark places with her light. She always saw the good in people, even strangers, and made them and others see it too. Kandra had a love for so many things; beaches, breezes, tattoos, and we cannot forget, mermaids. Her energy and excitement will be missed greatly by all her family and friends. She always pushed herself, and us, to dream big and always enjoy the journey. 120% Not only does Kandra leave behind her parents and daughters, she also leaves behind Said Zokhrouf, Chase Thydean, Will Bruening, Christy Lunde, Micah Noyes, Ron Elliston, Sonya Chitwood, Annette McDaniel, Lois Elliston, and countless others whose lives she added love to. A service will be held Sunday September 25th, 2022 at 3 pm MST at Foundations Church. 1159 Main Street, Windsor, CO 80550. In a few months we will hold a celebration of life in her honor.
